Avedis Hadjian is a journalist and writer in Venice. He is the author of Secret Nation: The Hidden Armenians of Turkey, about Armenians who live under different guises of assimilation in the historical Armenian provinces, Cilicia, and other regions of present-day Turkey. His writings have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg News, and Le Monde Diplomatique, among other international news outlets. His work as a correspondent has taken him to Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, China, the Caucasus, Turkey, and Latin America. He was educated in Buenos Aires and Cambridge.

Frederick Lauritzen read Greats at New College, Oxford (1996-2000, BA, MA) and obtained a doctorate in Classics from Columbia University in New York (2000-2005 MA, Mphil, PhD) with a thesis on Byzantine Literature (published in 2013). Since 2008 he has been  a postdoctoral researcher in Bologna and in Venice (Scuola Grande di San Marco). 

He is on the advisory board of the Together UK Foundation.
